Motorpoint aims for pole position in BSB

Motorpoint is aiming to set the grid alight with the launch of its new British Superbike team for 2011.

The company has once again teamed up with former rider and now race team boss Rob McElnea to form the Motorpoint Yamaha team.

Leading the charge on behalf of the company will be Loris Baz and James Westmoreland, two of the most promising Superbike riders in the UK.

The pair will be riding the works Yamaha YZF R1 for the 2011 season which begins at Brands Hatch. British Superbikes is now only second to World Superbikes in terms of popularity, drawing a total TV audience of over 6.6m for the 12 rounds last year on Eurosport.
